Jaime Barnatán Pereda (Santander), better known as Jimmy Barnatán, is a Spanish singer, actor and writer. Its origins are in the neighborhood of Tetuán, in Santander (Cantabria), although spent part of its childhood in New York.Allí surrounded of black musicians and was soaked by the Blues that these made.
His style, with a heartbreaking and strong voice, is unmistakably American, with diverse influences such as rhythm’n’blues, jazz, blues, rockin’-blues, soul and gospel, sometimes close to country-rock, but always with black feeling .
He is a multifaceted artist who has been on the stage since childhood, acting in musicals, films and TV series, writing novels and forming part of different musical formations that is how we are going to enjoy this Festival, with his last band, The Cocooners.
