Another of the orchestral formations of the Festival in this edition is the Trouper’s Swing Band, a Spanish formation in the Levante area, where they have offered most of their performances, more than 300, since they are working. Neo-Swing developed in the early 90’s, especially on the west coast of the USA, by bands like Royal Crown Revue, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy or Brian Setzer Orchestra, among others. The style of this band tries to follow the patterns of that time, without stopping back to previous times where the Swing navigated near the Jump’n’Jive.

The band presents a formation of 7 components, giving prominence to the wind instruments, backed by the contrabass and the electric guitar, next to the battery. Its main characteristic is the adaptation to Castilian of great successes of the groups of Neo-Swing, as well as other cuts in Italian. They also give a brief review of classic themes of rock’n’roll of the 50, adapted to the sound orchestra.

Live, they play with humor and interaction with the public to offer a show of sound, color, retro aesthetics and fun, which the audience thanks, as it can not stop moving.

Trouper’s Swing Band are:

  • Gaby Soñer: Vocalist
  • Víctor Rodríguez: battery
  • José Domingo Serna Gío: guitarist
  • José Luis Olmo: tenor sax
  • Dani Gilabert: trombone
  • Fernando Sanmartín: trumpet
  • Stephan Soñer: double bass
